GoKnow is a mobile learning system that allows students to use multiple education applications, or “apps,” that can only be found on a mobile device, like a SmartPhone. GoKnow software has multiple applications that perform all sorts of tasks, from Doodle Pads, Voice Notes, Notepads, or it can take and edit photos on the mobile device. The Mobile Learning System gives students the freedom to use the apps they want or that are most helpful for them to learn. They can use them for inquiry and problem-based learning, for example, and choose the method and the product to be created using the applications. In this way, student’s interests and learning profile are being used in their application use to impact the process of their instruction, as well as the create products that range from documents, to charts, to artworks, to photo albums, to videos. Further testing is needed from the study on how well the products can differentiate instruction.
